Goodbye

Hi All,

Since I'm sure you are all checking the blog daily now that it is summer (ha!) I just wanted to offer a few words now that my time at Siena is up.

I am so proud of you all. You have done an incredible job forming the very first cohort of Siena Bonner Leaders and you should be proud of yourselves as well. I could not have done my job without your commitment. I believe each of you has great things in store and I look forward to hearing about them.

Please continue to work hard and care about eachother and the people you are serving.

I love you guys and you better keep in touch!

It's Already June?

Hey guys-
I hope everyone had a great time on the First Year Trip and at the SLI Confrence! I can't believe that it has been a month since I took my last exam. This entire year went by way too fast. Bonner was a huge part of my life at Siena and I loved it. Being a Bonner has taught me how to manage my time and prioritize.
I have had so much fun as a Bonner. From being at my service site to weekly meetings to the awesome confrences and the car rides to the confrences. The trip to West Virginia was one of the best bonding experiences. We had so much fun with the FlipCams making crazy music videos, taking weird pictures, and doing a scavenger hunt (thank you Mel!). At the confrence we learned new things and went through an awesome haunted house (twice) and ate dinner at the hotel restaurant singing songs and just being goofy. For me it was while we were on that trip that I started to see all the other Bonners as more than just classmates, we were morphing into a Bonner Family.
Our Bonner Family was led by the matriarch, Nicole. Without her we would not have been able to accomplish so much. She was there to nag us when it was neccessary, Have you blogged yet?. She threatened to take away our Monday lunch period if we didn't have our blogs and logs finished. And she was always there to talk to when we had problems. Nicole thank you so much for everything. You put so much of your time and effort into us and we are eternally grateful.
To all my other Bonners: Have an awesome summer! I can't wait to see you guys in the fall.

Bonner Love--Hannah

One Year Down

I still can't believe my first year of college is over. It flew by faster than I could have ever thought possible. It was hectic and busy but also a lot of fun. And Bonner has a lot to do with that. Not only has it helped me to grow and manage my priorities, it has created strong friendships.
There are so many Bonner activities that I don't know how to chose just one favorite memory. So I'll go over my top two. The car ride to West Virgina. Two words...Bonner Love. Those videos were hilarious. The sing alongs and numerous photographs. The videos, and the haunted house. The impact conference was great too. Meghan and Hannah, funniest few days ever. Meeting a cute boy who gave us a tour of campus, which we regretted after. Our feet killed, who knew University of Maryland was so big? More of us have to go next year, it was a great conference!
I can't wait for the next three years of Bonner. I'm going to miss the seniors. Caitlin and Sarah, you guys are great. Good luck with everything you do! And Nicole, none of this would be possible without you. Thanks for your hard work and always believing in us. Even when we forgot to blog, or didn't get things done on time, you put up with us. Thanks for being our leader and also our friend. Good luck!

Bonner Love
-Mel
