After reading this article I was appalled that these retired military officers were so adamant about not lifting the "don't ask, don't" tell policy. It's crazy that they believe a person exposing their sexual orientation as gay or bisexual would lower morale. I think that gays should have the right to serve in the military and be open about their sexual orientation if they want to. It's the people who have a problem with this and who are uncomfortable with this that shouldn't serve in the military.
