Cheater, cheater, pumpkinnn eater!!

Ok... so I cheated a little bit by reading Gretchen's questions and checkin out what everyone else thinks. But, thank you all and here's what I am taking out of this...

We, as Bonners cannot act like these women. We need to maybe educate ourselves on the areas that we are going to and get to know them rather than shy away from them. The more we know, the more we can be understanding and want to help. You can't help someone if you have no clue what they are doing, where they are, how they are living, or their current economic situations. The ladies in the poem were upset that they were going to the slum, but it was the "bad" slum. I guess they wanted to go to a better slum? We can relate this to the "good" and "bad" areas of Albany. Personally, I think we need to STRIVE to work in the "bad" areas... target the worst and work out ways out from there. We are a powerful group of people and have a lot of potential to make huge differences. So lets take this poem to give us even more ambition and be just the opposite of these women!!!
