Congratulations Hannah, Michelle and Alternate Bernadette!!
I am so excited for you to enjoy the privilege of being our 2009-2010 Bonner Congress Representatives. I cannot tell you what an honor it is to be able to attend the Congress meetings twice a year and feel the excitement of being there with 150-300 other Bonners from across the country. As a former Congress Rep myself, it was phenomenal to not just be told that I was a part of a national network, but to see it and feel it. It is a chance for you to shine and showcase who you are to the Foundation and other programs nationally. You will get the chance to give workshops, acquire new skills, meet national community partners or one day get connected to an internship or job. You also have an opportunity to build up our own program by coming back and telling us about new ideas, implementing projects and action items to strengthen our program.
Mark your calendars, this year's Bonner Congress Meeting is October 23-25, 2009 at the University of Richmond in Virginia. This school has the largest Bonner Program in the country and its staff and students will definitely give you a memorable opportunity.
Please don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions or concerns about this outstanding opportunity. I feel a lot of love towards Bonner Congress!
